Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Cancer, oh Cancer, the crab of the celestial sea. It's time to come out of your shell. The New Moon is but a wee babe at 0.4 days old, so young, so innocent, so...moonish. In this lunar phase, it's like a fresh server reset in an online game. All your past blunders? Gone. That awkward moment when you thought the elevator was empty and let one rip, only to find your boss standing in the corner? Erased from the cosmic memory. It's a fresh start, and with this new moon energy, it's the perfect time to embark on a new project. Have you been considering building a scale model of the Battlestar Galactica out of recycled materials? Now's the time! Maybe you've been meaning to research the scientific validity of the theory that we're all just Sims in someone else's computer game? Go for it! Remember, Cancer, you're not just a crab, you're a space crab. You've got the whole universe at your claws. Just be careful not to get too caught up in your shell, or you might miss the alien invasion. In love, keep your feelers out for potential partners who appreciate your unique blend of nerdiness, humor, and knowledge of obscure Star Trek trivia. Your lucky number for the week is 42, because, well, it's the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Keep reaching for the stars, Cancer. Just don't forget your telescope. #CrabNebula #SpaceCrabs #NewMoonNewMe #42IsTheAnswer
