Mars In Cancer
The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Hey there, Cancer! Now, I'm not saying you're as moody as the moon, but let's just say the two of you could share a cup of tea and get along just fine. With the New Moon being a sprightly 1.6 days old, it's like a fresh-baked pie straight out of the oven - still too hot to handle, but smelling oh-so-tempting.
You might feel a gravitational pull towards new ventures, maybe a hobby or a sitcom. Possibly even a short-lived sci-fi Western series (no hard feelings, right?). But remember, much like my beloved spaceship, Serenity, life doesn’t come with a manual. So, don't fret if you can't figure out the instructions on that new IKEA bookshelf.
Relationships? Well, you know what they say - Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down... or was that my spaceship again? Either way, love is in the air, so keep your eyes open (unless you're piloting, then please, for the love of all things celestial, keep your eyes on the sky).
Work-wise, you might feel like you're in the belly of a whale. But remember, even Jonah got out eventually, and he didn't even have a cool space gun or cunning hat. Keep your chin up, grab your metaphorical laser pistol, and tackle those space whales head-on!
And remember, nothing says "I mean business" like using a dinosaur puppet to explain your plans. Who knows, it might even make that office meeting more bearable!
