The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Waxing Crescent moon is currently 2.7 days old. The next new moon is at 9:02:45, 10 Mar 2024. The next full moon is at 7:01:37, 25 Mar 2024.
Well, Cancers... or should I say 'Cosmic Crabs', how's it hanging? The moon is currently in its Waxing Crescent phase, about 2.7 days old if we're getting precise. Now, I know you're wondering, "What does that mean for me?"
Let me lay it out for you. This means the moon is pretty much a toddler right now. Yes, you heard it right, we're dealing with a celestial toddler! So, temper tantrums and unexpected mood swings are on the cosmic menu. It's like being at a space-themed daycare center, but don't fret, it’s just the universe doing its thing!
Your ruling planet, the Moon, is like the cosmic equivalent of a moody teenager right now. It's going through phases, it's not sure what it wants, and it's probably listening to really loud music... or maybe that's just my neighbor. Either way, we've all been there.
This might make you feel a bit out of sorts, like a fish out of water... or a crab out of its shell. But fear not, this phase will pass quicker than a comet shooting through the constellations.
So, brace yourself for some emotional high tides, but remember, after every high tide is a low. Look for the silver lining in the cosmic cloud, write some cosmic poetry, or maybe invent a new constellation. Who knows? You might be onto something!
Don't forget to maintain your sense of humor during these tumultuous times. Remember when Arthur Dent tried to fly by throwing himself at the ground and missing? Maybe give that a go, metaphorically speaking, of course!
All in all, I'd advise you to buckle up, grab a cup of tea (or two), and try to enjoy the interstellar roller coaster ride you're on.
