Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Full moon is currently 15.7 days old. The next new moon is at 11:14:21, 4 Aug 2024. The next full moon is at 18:28:35, 19 Aug 2024.

Oh, my dear Cancer! The moon, she's practically a teenager at 15.7 days old, and you know what that means, right? She's going through her rebellious phase. You might be feeling a bit angsty yourself. Heck, you might even be tempted to dye your hair green and start a garage band. My advice? Go for it. Why the heck not? Just remember, those drum solos at 1 AM might not go down well with the neighbors. Now, onto the science-y stuff. A full moon is the perfect time to tune into your natural intuition, Cancer. You're a water sign, after all. You guys are like the universe's version of a psychic sponge. Soak it all up, my friend. This week, practice saying "yes" to new things. Yes to that weird, alien-looking fruit in the supermarket. Yes to the invitation to the virtual karaoke party. Yes to the urge to break out the telescope and talk to the stars (they're excellent listeners, by the way). Remember, we're all just tiny, walking, talking stardust particles in an infinite cosmos. So, wear your mismatched socks with pride, belt out that off-key tune, and live your best quirky life, Cancer. No one does it quite like you! #FullMoonMadness #CrabbyButCool #CancerSeason #StardustSilliness #WeAreAllAliens
