The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Full moon is currently 14.7 days old. The next new moon is at 23:32:07, 12 Dec 2023. The next full moon is at 0:33:43, 27 Dec 2023.
Oh, dear Cancer, my sensitive moonchild. The moon, our celestial nightlight and your ruling body, is currently 14.7 days old. Or in nerd talk, it's a teenager with all the mood swings. So, if you find yourself oscillating between various emotions like a Ping-Pong ball on Neptune, that's the reason.
The full moon, in her hormonal teenage phase, is shedding light on your darker corners. And I'm not talking about that dusty corner of your room where you've been hoarding Marvel comics since before Iron Man was cool. This is your metaphorical corner, the one inside you. You know, where you've stacked your emotional baggage higher than Mount Olympus on Mars.
But fret not, dear crustacean, this is the perfect time for spring cleaning! Maybe it's autumn, or winter, or even summer, but in space, we don't work with earthly seasons, do we? So, grab that cosmic broom of yours and start sweeping away those cobwebs of past grudges, insecurities, and that embarrassing memory from third grade. Trust me, it'll feel as refreshing as taking a dip in Jupiter's Great Red Spot.
So, to summarize, #MoodSwingsAreNormal, #SpringCleaningInAutumn, and #CancerHasGotThis. Remember, you're as intricate and unique as a snowflake on Pluto. Keep rocking that cosmic vibe of yours!
And if anyone asks why you're acting weird, just blame it on the Full Moon. After all, it's in its teenage phase, and we all know how unpredictable that can be. #BlameItOnTheMoon.
