Solar Activity
Solar activity was at low levels. C-class flaring was observed from Regions 4099 (S13W78, Cao/beta), 4100 (N09W68, Eai/beta), and 4105 (S15E49, Eai/beta). The largest flare was a C8.7/Sf at 05/1547 UTC from Region 4105. Regions 4099 and 4100 continued to decay as they approached the W limb. Slight growth was observed in Region 4105 and 4106 (N13W01, Dao/beta). No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters appeared to be influenced by transient activity, possibly combined with CH HSS influences. Total field ranged from 1-6 nT while the Bz component was between +/-3 nT. Solar wind speed decreased from approximately 720 km/s to near 580 km/s. Phi angle was mostly positive through 05/1111 UTC, but became variable thereafter.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate to high levels with a peak flux of 2,215 pfu at 05/1500 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
