Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Moon In Cancer

The moon in cancer is your healing time. While your emotions are in focus, reach out to friends and family and remind them that they're important. Quality time is good, but be careful to maintain your independence and not become too reliant on others during this kick-back-and-chill time.

Be a home body for a while during the Cancer Moon, and spend some time with yourself.

Full Moon In Cancer

A full moon in Cancer is your signal to watch your work/life balance. At the beginning of winter when the sun is in the sign of Capricorn, we have a Full Moon in Cancer. Capricorn is about the outer energy, and the mastery of our outer world. The Cancer Full Moon allows the energies of these two signs to counterbalance each other, and helps us bring to fruition those things that we held close during the New Moon. We’re finally able to manifest these things, and create a sense of security in bringing our feelings and desires out into the world.

Ah, dear Moon, I see you're leaving the chatty twins of Gemini behind to dip your lunar toes in the comforting waters of Cancer. Now, remember, this is not the time to get too crabby (pun intended)! In Gemini, you were all about that social butterfly life: flitting from group chats to Zoom meetings, spreading gossip and wit wherever you went. But as you transition into Cancer, things may start to feel a bit...squishy. And no, that doesn't mean you've accidentally sat on a jelly baby again. Cancer is all about home, family, and emotions. So don't be surprised if you find yourself craving Grandma's secret recipe for Spaghetti Bolognese, or suddenly weeping at reruns of Quantum Leap. It's okay, Moon, we've all been there. But beware - with this new emotional depth comes an increased sensitivity. You can't just hide behind your surface craters anymore. So if someone says your 'cheese' joke is stale, try not to take it too much to heart. Remember, they just don't understand your gouda sense of humor! Now, the best way to navigate this cosmic change? Embrace it! Host a virtual family quiz night, indulge in some homemade food, or take a nice long bubble bath. And remember - it's okay to be a little cheesy sometimes! #MoonMoves #GeminiToCancer #NoHardFeelings #CheesyButTrue #AstrologyWithHumor
